Simple recipes using products that you already have, makes effective household cleaning solutions. And these natural products are more environmentally friendly than commercial cleaners.
Tips:
When using homemade cleaners always spot test before using.
Always label bottles and containers with the name and ingredients used.

1. Homemade Spray Cleaner
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
Mix in a sprayer bottle.
2. Homemade Spray Cleaner
Spray bottle
1/2 cup Dawn
Vinegar – add until spray bottle is full
3. All Purpose Cleaner
4 tablespoons baking soda
1 quart warm water
Dissolve baking soda in warm water in a spray bottle. It's great for inside the
Refrigerator, your appliances and your kitchen counters.
4. Spray Cleaner
1/2-cup vinegar
½ -cup scented rubbing alcohol
fill the rest of the spray bottle up with water.
The scented alcohol covers the vinegar smell and speeds up drying time!
5. Strong All-Purpose Cleaner
Mix in a sprayer bottle:
1 Tlbs. clear, non-sudsing ammonia
1 Tlb. clear laundry detergent
2 cups water
1. Mild Abrasive Cleaner
Baking Soda
Sprinkle baking soda onto a damp sponge for lite duty cleaning.
For tougher grime, make a paste of baking soda and water,
and allow to stand for 10 to 20 minutes, then rub.
2. Homemade Scrub Cleaner
½ of a lemon
½ cup borax
Dip lemon into borax and scrub the area you want to clean then rinse.
(Not safe to use on marble or granite surfaces).
Drain Cleaner & Deodorizer
1/2 to 3/4 cup baking soda
¼ cup hot water
Before bed time pour baking soda into the drain, then slowely add hot water to let baking soda stand in pipes overnight. In the morning flush thoroughly with hot water. (This Does not work on blocked drains.)
Unclog Drains
1 -Cup baking Soda
1 -Cup vinegar
Pour baking soda in drain then pour in vinegar, let that sit a while, and then flush out with boiling water.
1. Homemade Glass Cleaner
Mix in a sprayer bottle:
1 cup rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol
1 cup water
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2. Strong Glass Cleaner
1 cup rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol
1 cup water
1 tablespoon clear, non-sudsing ammonia
Mix in a sprayer bottle:
3. Glass Cleaner.
2 cups of water
1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar
1/2 teaspoon of Dawn
Mix in a spray bottle.
1. Floor Cleaner
1-cup vinegar
1-Tlbs. Dawn dish soap
1-gallon hot water
2. Floor Cleaner
1- cup Baking Soda
1-Tlbs. Dawn dish soap
1-gallon hot water.
Wash floors, and then rinse with clean water.
1. Toilet Cleaner
1/4-cup baking soda
1/4 cup Dawn
1/4-cup water
Let sit on the toilet bowl over night, swish with a toilet brush, and flush.
2. Stronger Toilet Cleaner
1/4 cup of baking soda.
1/4 cup white vinegar
Sprinkle baking soda around the edges inside the toilet bowl. Carefully pour vinegar into bowl (watch the reaction, but don't get your face too close) let sit, and then scrub your toilet with a toilet brush.
Homemade Furniture Polish
Mix in a sprayer bottle:
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
Shake well and spray a small amount to a cleaning cloth. Spread evenly over furniture surface. Turn cloth over to the dry side and polish dry.
Carpet Deodorizer
Baking Soda
Sprinkle on your carpet an let stand for 1 hour and then vacum.
Oven Cleaner
1 box Baking Soda
Sprinkle ¼ inch deep of Baking Soda in the bottem of oven and spray with water until damp.
Let stand fro several hours(the longer you leave it the better it works). You may need to spray it often to keep it damp. With damp cloth begin to rub and lift grime away.
Homemade Laundry Soap
1 bar bath soap (or ½ bar of Fels Naptha)
1 cup washing soda (not baking soda)
1 cup baking soda
1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
Grind together in your food processor. Use 2 Tablespoons for a full load.
Homemade Stain Remover
Dawn dish soap
Pour straight on the stain and rub. Let sit for a while the wash.
Peroxide works great on fresh bloodstains. Pour and scrub, then wash as normal.
Steam Cleaner Solution
1 cup white vinegar
Hot water
Try this instead of store bought cleaner.
Carpet Spot remover
1-part Rubbing alcohol
1- part water
