"A Little About This Country Gal"
My name is Trena and I am a Wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Mother and friend. I have a Son and two Stepsons and one Daughter. And between the four of them they have gave us 10 precious Grandchildren. I am happily married to my husband Wayne and living in Tennessee. Wayne and I have a wonderful relationship and we have so many things in common. To name a few things we enjoy country living, nature and animals. So we live in the country surrounded by nature, wildlife and our pets.
I was borne and raised on my Grandparents farm in Ohio. My Grandparents came through the Depression and valued the simple things. Our farm was fairly self-reliant, where we would make it from scratch, grow it, can it, freeze it, smoke it or butcher it. I feel thankful to My Grandparents and Parents for them raising me in a frugal and self-reliant lifestyle. And now more then ever with this unstable economy, I truly value the knowledge that they taught me.
I was raised with my two older brothers, which made me the only girl and the baby in the family. I was totally a tomboy and learned to fish and hunt, ride horses est. Anything my brothers did I had to do to, even when it came to working on the farm.
Our Large Kitchen was like our family room to us. If you came to visit, then you came in the kitchen door and sat at the kitchen table. Then my mother would feed you and anyone else that came by. She always had a big pot of homemade something cooking on the wood stove.
My Grand Parents and my Parents have all passed away, but I carry them all in my heart, as I try to live up to what they taught me and wanted for me. One thing that I try my best to follow is from a quote that both of my parents said often “If there is a Will, Then there is a Way". My hope is to give my family and friends the same encouragement to be all they can be, and be all that I want for them to be.
